PHOTO SHOOT WEEK- February 22nd-25th Competitive Company please check email for detailed schedule/private page Academy Photo Schedule Monday Feb 22nd- Level 2/3 Wednesday Feb 24th- Level 4 Thursday Feb 25th- Creative Mov./Tiny Tots Please make sure you have the required shoes and tights, full stage make up, and hair as specified in newsletter. Academy Recital Costumes have arrived and will be distributed this week in classes. Anyone who turned in your payment following the 1st of the year will not have costumes for photo week! Next ship date isn't until late March.
Is your child following the Mandatory Dress Code? Students Must wear black boy shorts or black leo with either "Elite" sports bra or cami top. Hair Must be pulled away from face, required shoes, and no large jewlery! If you need additional Elite Tops please email for sizes in stock. Congratulations to our special girl- Chelsea Sebes- on winning 1st Overall Highscore solo against 80 fierce routines (most from Canada) at LA Dance Force in Michigan this past weekend. Routine is gorgeous, she is amazing and choreography from Damian Kush is fierce. She truly is a gem. Important Recital Information Mandatory Finale Practice at Studio- Monday June 14th from 5:00-7:00pm Dress Rehearsal- Wednesday June 16th 3:00pm-10:00pm Performance Showcase- Thursday June 17th 5:30pm curtain opens Dress Rehearsal & Performance Showcase will be held at the North Hills Jr. High School Auditorium GREASE Joseph Corella & Kelly Felthous Another Broadway Connection at Elite..and this one is meant for a cool rider! GREASE Broadway cast members will be at Elite for a master workshop on March 13th. Unfortunately there is limited space so pre-register now. The cost is only $40 per dancer!! Ages 8-11 March 13 from 10am-12pm Ages 12 adv + March 13 from 10am-12pm Includes original choreography in the style of musical theatre Jazz from the show, Q & A, picture taking and autograph signing! How could you miss this? Go Grease Lightening! Elitists- Hello There! We have 119 entries that will attend our first regional competition, and that is 5 less #'s that are not ready. I am sure you can understand that this is alot of choreography to perfect and have ready for stage. Tardiness/Absence from class just will not work for the next two months. This volume of work will not be a pretty sight on stage if the dancers are not committed to the class time and rehearsal time necessary to pull off such a large quantity of pieces. Perhaps some dancers could find a space (even basement space) on the weekends and rehearse solos/duo/trios with your partner(s) -it can only benefit your artistic piece!! I believe in QUALITY! There are so many company members this year and I remain committed to our final product. Please Commit with me! Our reputation is amazing and I know that we will meet the expectations if we work together!

Great job kids on excellent choreography, stage performance, tight technique and a fun time. Now let's continue to clean up these routines! What an honor and as always thanks to MIA for being the best driving force in the dance world- Especially at Elite! It has been brought to Damian's attention that his 3 representing dancers at Intrigue were the ONLY dancers who understood most of the Ballet Workshop. What an honor to be able to train so many successful local dancers at Elite.....the hard work is worth the payoff such as when these dancers were commended on their ballet repertoire in front of the whole convention room! THREE FOR THREE.... Congatulations to our Intrigue Dance Convention Winners- True Artist- Highest of Workshop: Chelsea Sebes Convention Scholarship: Ricky Rogers and Kelly Gagnon A Heartfelt Thank you to Kevin 'Tokyo' Inouye for a very successful weekend of master workshop classes and group choreography. The Sr's and Jr's both got an extra class at the workshop at no charge compliments of Mr. Inouye which was a lovely gift! Tokyo- you are the most humble, professional teacher and I am proud to call you my friend/colleague! I will see you very soon- CK Kudos to Aimee Adams on being selected from the 3-part audition from the Rainbow Kids. We can't wait to see you on television this year! What an intense audition that was!!! Kudos to Ricky Rogers on making the Michael Jackson Tribute Show!!!!
